Selah Sunday!
In the Bible “selah” can be interpreted in a few different ways – to pause and reflect on what we have been instructed, to lift up, exalt, to praise!
This Sunday join us for a special Selah Sunday with a special performance of The Sound of the Shofar and an extended time of music to praise, uplift and reflect on what the Lord is doing in us.
What is the the Sound of the Shofar?
The Lord said to Moses, “Say to the Israelites: ‘On the first day of the seventh month you are to have a day of sabbath rest, a sacred assembly commemorated with trumpet blasts (Leviticus 23:23-25).” This mow`ed or “appointed time” has a great significance for Christ followers. Biblical Christians refer to it as the Feast of Trumpets and is also known as Yom Teruah, day of blasting or shouting! This week we will present a special performance as we explore what it means to assemble and commemorate the day with trumpet blasts–the shofar!
No Adult Sunday School this week!
