The day of fasting and prayer for our congregation has been set for the first Thursday of each month. This is done in solidarity to support the church in unity and in strength.
Please join in fasting and praying this Thursday. Each individual can set your fast as directed by the Lord. It could be a meal, all meals, a certain food, a time, an activity. However the Lord directs you, set the time that you would have participated in that activity as a prayer time that day. If you are participating in fasting for Lent simply add in the focus on the prayer theme to your fast.
Our prayer this month is Matthew 6:9-13
Jesus said: “Pray then in this way;
Our Father, who art in heaven,
Hallowed be Thy Name.
Thy kingdom come, Thy will be done,
On earth as it is in heaven.
Give us this day our daily bread.
Forgive us our transgressions as we have forgiven those who have transgressed against us.
And lead us not into temptation, but deliver us from evil.
For Thine is the kingdom, the power and the glory forever. Amen.”
As you pray, we are all joined together that day in agreement. Fasting and prayer are powerful for “pulling down strongholds and bringing every thought captive in obedience to Christ” (II Corinthians 10: 3-5) as we ask for God’s will to be done on earth as it is in heaven.
PS. We would love to hear testimonies of answered prayers from your intercessions!
Blessings & Peace,
