Where do we look for life?
Friends, family, experiences, money, fun, entertainment, food, drink, work, play, a little R&R as they say… or maybe even lesser things (as Kelly puts it).
They all compete in our lives and tell us … by “this” we are fulfilled, happy, content, and maybe even satisfied… but deep down we know it is not true, it isn’t enough, it is temporary and not lasting. Though all of the above, some wonderful and amazing, still does not give us life. It actually costs us and where do we find the resource to pay for this?
Isaiah 55:1-3 says: “Come, all you who are thirsty, come to the waters; and you who have no money, come, buy and eat! Come, buy wine and milk without money and without cost. Why spend money on what is not bread, and your labor on what does not satisfy? Give ear and come to me; listen, that you may live.”
As we have the next women’s meet up we will be studying “God of Gods” Session 6 from Kelly Minters book “No Other Gods” This session is SO rich and life giving, reminding us of who our source is and where we truly find living water to fill our parched souls.
