Abhor what is evil; cling to what is good. - Rom 12:9 

Good and evil are polar opposites, like light and darkness. Paul says that we are to be repulsed by evil and to hold tightly to things that are good.

Today, take no delight when you see something evil.  Even more so, do not look at anything evil with indifference.  Further, search for goodness. Look hard for it.  When you find it, hold on to it and rejoice in it. John 3:19 says “This is the judgment, that the Light has come into the world, and men loved the darkness rather than the Light, for their deeds were evil.
